On Saturday Vers, Spie and myself headed out to Mass for a couple of reasons. Our first mission was to Allston, Mass. to check out this little jam going on at the Wonder Bar. As we got closer to the bar, this funny little building caught my eye…so I had to take a flic.

As we rolled into the bar, my boy Vers called out, “Drinks on me!!” Luckily for him I’m the only one that heard his invitation. So he saved a little money there.

After posting up in there for about an hour we decided to take off and hit up our second destination, which was the Bodega to check our boy Dan to see what kind of new kicks and/or fitteds he’s going on over there. And of course I had to cop the these hot Futura AF1’s.

After paying our dues in there for a while we headed out to our next destination. McGreevy’s. Just to give a you a little reason why I wanted to check out this spot was because the co-owner is Pete Nash. Now far ya’llz out there who are not familiar with Pete Nash, he also is known as Prime Minister Pete Nice. Now if you’re still not familiar with Prime Minister Pete Nice then you might be familiar with the rap group 3rd Bass that came out in the late 80’s and stomped through the early 90’s going at cats such as Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer with songs like the Gas Face and Pop Goes The Weasel. And if you are still not familiar with 3rd Bass, then I don’t know what to tell you. You missed out on some great music.
Well to my dismay, Pete Nash was not in the building and our waitress had no idea who he was. Then I had to show her the back of the menu where it gave the whole history about the restaurant she is employed in. Some people just have no care for history, I guess. After clowning her for the rest of the time, she comped us on our drinks, which was cool because that was like a third of the bill. So we left her a bigger tip so that she wouldn’t feel bad.
After that we headed back home to meet up with Pete, Al and Birdie for some drinks at Spie’s house. But first I had to go check my boy Parrish at South St. Package Store for some drinks and to say what up. Yup, his package store has been wettin’ our whistles for the past 7 years.

After Reneeze was done cleaning the kitchen and busting some hot moves from the 80’s, we made our way to the kitchen table.

At this point we started to pop open some of our old picture albums of our pieces from the mid- 90’s. Reminiscing on cats like Dash, Syne, Ras…the whole SAI crew. Talking about cats that came and went, some of the walls we used to hit and all the antics that went along with it. Good times.
Then we stumbled on to this flic. I title it, Suicidal Spie.
