Although Steelz’s fridge and cabinets didn’t have much to offer, his freezer definitely did.

And after a couple of glasses of Vodka and jokes, specifically aimed at Nate, we hit the streets of Queens for some food and more cocktails.

Of course we ended up at Steelz’s favorite restaurant for some do-it-yourself lunch. I swear, he spends more time in Gyu Kaku than any of the employees…throughout the U.S. So as we sat there and waited for our raw meat on a plate to come we decided to start snappin’ flics of the people down below hoping to catch someone picking their nose, trippin’ over something or even possibly witness a purse snatchin’.

Kinda sucks that we wasted all the juice from the camera on these shots because about a hour later we came upon Larry David shooting a scene for his show, Curb Your Enthusiasm. So if you want to see the flics from that, text me and I’ll hit you back with them.

And that’s all folks. We hope you had as much fun as we did.

So as 2pm rolled around we all decided that it was time to stop and grab a bite to eat. So we pulled off the highway and came upon this little spot called Flying J’s. It connected to a gas station and looked pretty iffy, but we were hungry, so eff it, let’s get it in like some good ole’ truck drivers.

Then Cassarra walked into our lives…….

She was our waitress through this food experience and thank god for that because this place was already skating on thin ice with us and the other employees where looking pretty crazy….luckily we couldn’t see the cook. So after clowning the establishment for a little while to her we got to tell all about the little adventure that we were on. And as she got to get more comfortable with us she started to open up and began telling us things about her, like her age, that she’s never heard of the beverage called Ginger Ale, she’s never been out of Kansas, she’s never been to a concert and a couple of other things that fascinated us. I mean, for a minute there we thought that she might be being held hostage, cut off from the world and that we should probably try to save her. And as we all chuckled that assumption off, Steelz, with all seriousness says…”Yo, we should, you wanna?” Then there was about 30 seconds of the most awkward silence that I’ve ever encountered between 4 men. Yup, that’s right, our boy JK Steelz started catching feelings for Cassarra from Kansas….what a mush.

So about 15 minutes later we received our food and I gotta tell ya, it really wasn’t bad at all. And as we sat there and chatted it up for a while, our newly found friend Cassarra kept stopping by to check on us and chat it up as well. Steelz started to think that her often presence to our table might be because she liked him, we had to inform him that as our waitress that was her job…and it looked like we were her only table so what the hell else was she gonna do.

As we said our goodbye’s to Cassarra and headed back on to the open road we could see that Steelz just wasn’t all there. He was acting like an 8th grader in love and he needed a cure. So as the Co-Captain for this particular drive I did the only thing that Co-Captain should do for his Captain in this kind of situation…I started to You Tube all your classic love ballads from the 80’s, mostly Journey, and turned the volume up to an obnoxious level…which I don’t think helped Steelz’s situation at all. So we gave in and decided to make a pit stop in Cassarra’s hometown of Enterprise Kansas to reminisce of her one last time for JK Steelz.

After consoling Steelz with his school boy crush for a little while we headed out for the open road again. We drove for about 6 more hours until we hit the Veterans Memorial Parkway in Missouri to possibly find some dinner. And to me, a good dinner always mends a broken heart.

After dinner we drove for a couple more hours and then found a spot to sleep because the next stop is CT…and boy we couldn’t wait to get home.

And the look on Uncle Greg’s face pretty much sums up how we all felt by the end of the day.

After a long day of driving we made a pit stop in a little town called Moab, UT for a change of scenery and bite to eat. We finally chose on this little spot called Pasta Jays for some Italian eating. As I ordered the Manicotti for myself, Nate let out a little chuckle and quickly told me that I had pronounced it wrong. As the waitress took the rest of our orders and left, we all curiously looked towards Nate and asked him how do you correctly pronounce this delicious Italian dish? And with his soft Italian voice the word Manigoaaa…….t rolled of his tongue. We all looked at each other pretty puzzled as I lead out and says, “Maingoaaa……t? What happened to rest of the word?” Why such a long word gets half it’s letters dropped when pronounced? What happened to the C’s? I need answers!!”……as he took another sip from his Seltzer water, he looked at me and called me a dumb Polish, Swedish and German mut, then shook his head for an uncomfortable 30 seconds. So that pretty much ended that conversation….for now.

After this we headed out to Grand River Junction to get some rest for the night because the next stop is Denver to get up with our good friend Ouija for a day of painting.

Nate did some calithenics while JK Steelz prepared for the road rage before the race.

Next stop…the open road. This is where things are going to get interesting.

One thing was the heavy traffic during every hour of the day. Another thing is that the size of L.A. is probably 2 times bigger than CT.

However, we definitely did our thing and were able to hit the hot spots like Venice Beach, Beverly Hills, Melrose Ave., Santa Monica just to name a few. ILC crew member J.K. Steelz definitely got a gold star for putting up the most stickers during our L.A. adventure.

Next stop…Vegas!!

Yeah, not much poppin’ off at this point, just a bunch of hangin’ around in Logan Airport and waiting.

So finally after watching Superbad back to back and a little nap we landed in L.A. The first thing was to grab something to eat because the chips & water they gave us on the flight kinda didn’t do shit for us. Especially Nate.

Now there is only 1 spot you should stop for a quick bite when you touch down anywhere on the West Coast.

And if you are not sure where this cheeseburg came from then you need to step your fast food game up.

After this we pretty much checked into our rooms and wrapped it up for the night. But believe you me…today is when the fun is going to begin, because in about 20 minutes we are headed out to let Cali know that ILC is in town. And by 10pm tonight we will be making our way out to fabulous Las Vegas.

Our recent paint/tee sale went very well. Thanks to everyone who came out and copped paint and tees for the summer murals and fashion. Extra special shout out to the boys from MDK for bringing the Goose and hanging out all day until I couldn’t take another sip.

After the sale we finally got on our P’s & Q’s to prepare for our adventure, but first here’s a handful of pictures from the sale.

Yup, everything was going pretty smooth until Uncle Mitchie came through totally disregarded our No Shirt, No Shoes, No Sale policy.

And even after we made him leave, he creepishly popped up again.

Now introducing our new stuff that we produced specifically for our cross country trip. The tees will be available for sale July 1st and, well, we may have some stickers left over, but it’s not in the plan. If you really want one of these stickers bad enough, you may have to drive through some odd ball state and pick it off a stop sign.
